NOSE by FATS BANGKOK 2026 July 17–19, 2026, Bangkok, Thailand

From July 17 to 19, NOSE by FATS BANGKOK 2026 took place in Bangkok, Thailand. Subtitled The Global Summit Dedicated to Advanced Rhinoplasty, it is one of the few international meetings devoted entirely to the nose. ChoiceTech Korea participated under its BiLumix brand.

Surgical lights lined the lab — the BiLumix team was there for the entire workshop.

A Faculty That Speaks for Itself

The summit was directed by Yves Saban (France), a leading authority on preservation and hybrid rhinoplasty, with Dean Toriumi (USA) and Abdülkadir Göksel (Türkiye) as co-directors — names familiar to anyone who has studied modern rhinoplasty. Prof. Yong Ju Jang of Korea also joined the faculty.

The programme paired two days of scientific lectures and surgical video sessions with a full final day devoted to a hands-on cadaver workshop: structural versus preservation techniques, primary and revision cases, and strategies for nasal anatomy across different ethnicities — theory carried all the way down to the hands.

The dissection was relayed live to the observation room next door. The surgeon on screen was wearing a BiLumix headlamp too.

Not Just a Booth — Inside the Lab

CTK ran an exhibition booth across the two congress days. But the most meaningful part of this participation wasn't the booth. It was the final day, spent inside the cadaver lab.

On the morning of July 19, our team gowned up and walked in. Operating tables lined both sides of the room, each with a large surgical light overhead; in the adjacent observation room, the dissections were relayed onto a wall-sized screen. Once the session started, the room went quiet fast — just instruments meeting steel, and short instructions traded low across each table.

Settling the headlamp over the cap, tightening the band, finding the beam angle — repeated at table after table before the session began.

Roughly 20 sets of BiLumix surgical headlamps were in that room. Surgeons wore them paired with loupes, and our team moved between the tables tightening bands, aligning beam angles, dialling in brightness. Those few seconds — settling a headlamp over a surgical cap and finding the right angle — were, for us, the point of the whole trip.

The Ceiling Lights Were On. The Headlamps Stayed On Too.

The overhead surgical lights were fully on — and not one surgeon switched their headlamp off.

Even with the overhead light fully on, the headlamp stayed lit throughout the procedure.

Rhinoplasty works in a field that is narrow and deep. Light coming down from the ceiling doesn't follow you inside the nasal vault, and the surgeon's own head and hands block whatever does. What a surgeon actually sees by is the beam leaving their own forehead. That those headlamps stayed lit through hours of dissection is a more precise answer than anything we print in a catalogue.

At a workshop attended by some of the world's most accomplished rhinoplasty surgeons, BiLumix was used not as demo equipment but as the actual operating light.

A Reference That Carries Forward

Thailand and Southeast Asia are among the fastest-growing markets in aesthetic and plastic surgery. Through this event, BiLumix left a real-use reference inside the region's core surgical community — one that was handled, worn, and worked in for hours.
