[Retail Story 11]
At the Olive Young Skin Scan zone in Lotte Mall Plus, Jamsil, ChoiceDx waits for its next customer.
Lotte World Tower, Lotte World, and the department store all connect seamlessly at Lotte Mall in Jamsil — arguably the heart of Lotte's retail empire. Walk the 2nd floor corridor, past floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Jamsil skyline, and you'll find Olive Young Lotte Mall Plus.

Step inside, and the self-checkout counters and skincare section greet you first, with the Skin Scan zone standing out on the main pillar at the front of the store. Curtains hang from a curved rod wrapped around the pillar, with a "Skin Scan" neon sign marking the spot above.

The store was quiet on this weekday afternoon, but someone was already behind the curtain getting a scan. On a past visit, we caught a line of three or four people waiting their turn. Between trips to Lotte World and Lotte Tower, shoppers seem to make a habit of stopping by to measure and analyze their skin condition with ChoiceDx.

Following the on-screen prompts, visitors scan their face, and once ChoiceDx completes the measurement and analysis, they head to the nearby skincare aisle to browse products suited to their results.
