[Retail Story 13]
At Olive Young Central Gangnam Town, we toured two separate Skin Scan zones inside a store that fills an entire building.
Step out of Gangnam Station Exit 10, and a glass building with a bright green sign is right in front of you. From basement level to the 4th floor, the entire building is Olive Young — a different scale altogether from a typical branch.

The floor guide at the entrance lays out each level in detail, and two things stand out: a "Skin Scan for Scalp" station on the 3rd floor Hair & Body Care section, and a "Skin Scan for Face" station on the basement floor's Skin Care section — Skin Scan zones on two separate floors.

The Skin Scan zone at the 3rd floor Hair Care section isn't a curtained booth like other locations — it's built into the wall by a floor-to-ceiling window. A reservation kiosk sits right beside it, suggesting this one runs on a reservation system too. On this visit, two customers were standing side by side checking their scalp condition.

The Skin Scan zone at the basement Skin Care section runs on reservations as well. A sign next to the device reads "Skin Consulting Service Visit Guide," explaining that customers with reservations get a 15-minute personalized consultation with an Olive Young beauty consultant instead of a self-service scan. On this visit, we actually saw a customer sitting across from a consultant, mid-consultation. When the device is free and no one has a reservation, self-service use also appeared to be possible at both zones.

Different in both scale and operation from a typical branch, this store is also a good example of how Olive Young adapts Skin Scan and ChoiceDx to fit different store environments.
